Science & Technology Links

Solar System Simulator
This NASA site is unbelieveable! It's actually used on several scientific sites to demonstrate satelitte views of planets and moons. You may view planets, their moons, and various almost-planets from any location in the solar system. You can see earth from Mars for example.

Near Earth Objects   The earth cruises around the sun at 67.000 miles per hour (feel the breeze?). Thousands of pieces of space junk, comets, asteriods and such are also cruising at between 45,000 and 150,000 mph - some of them crossing our orbit in outer space. Sometimes we get hit in this space pinball game. Sometimes a hit produces a crater or tidal wave, at other times it's wipes out 95 % of life on earth. This website monitors all "known" near earth objects and even plots their orbit near us. Don't worry, nothing "known" is scheduled to hit earth. I'm still buying asteriod insurance however - just "collision".

Atomic Clock   Chicago (the group) once asked "Does anybody really know what time it is?"  If you have any questions about this, the Atomic Clock website will tell you exactly what time it is with nuclear accuracy.
